Bio: I am proud to be a director and GM for InternChina!
After graduating from the University of Liverpool with a first class degree ~
I worked in the UK for 2 years before getting itchy feet and setting off for a
new adventure in China. I lived in Qingdao from 2009 and after doing an
internship and language course organised by Intern China, I got to know
the team and became GM in January 2010. After travelling through various
places in South East Asia and China, I settled in Qingdao because of the
relaxed lifestyle, incredible food, friendly people, beautiful
coastline and nearby countryside. I went on to establish Intern
China's Zhuhai office with my colleague and good friend
Leo and accompanied by my amazing wife Helen! I helped establish
our 3rd office in Chengdu and established our UK office here in
Manchester, where I now live, visiting the offices in China as
often as I can!

Bio: After completing my higher education at my local college I opted for a working career path and was successful in obtaining a job with a worldwide financial institution. After 3 highly successful years in the sales role I wanted to experience city centre living and working so decided to move to Manchester. Here I was able to work as an advisor for the UK government for all UK employees and employers to ensure the employment rights were being adhered to. During these times I have been fortunate enough to visit many places in Europe for summer or skiing holidays but also included a life changing trip around Asia where I visited 5 major Chinese cities (2 of our available destinations) which was incomparable to anywhere else I have been able to visit. In October 2014 I have been lucky enough to come on board with InternChina as their first ever UK employee as Bookings administrator and very excited about the role. In my spare time I enjoy football, badminton, skiing and socialising with friends in and around Manchester.

Bio: While studying Chinese and French at the University of Sheffield, I spent a very memorable year abroad in Nanjing, China. Living in China for the first time was a fascinating experience. The more I got to grips with the language and came to understand the Chinese culture the more liked it. I mean, where else can you find amazing food, Bhuddhist mountains, vast deserts, booming cities, ancient temple villages and factories that make the pretty most of the world’s consumable products all in one country?
So, I decided to come back out here after graduation to improve my Chinese and get to know more about China’s business culture. I started out with an internship in InternChina’s Chengdu office and have been part of IC ever since! When I’m not in the office I usually spend my time sampling the many dishes that Qingdao restaurants have to offer, climbing mountains and travelling as much as possible.

Location: Qingdao, China
I’ve been coming to China for ten years now, with my first trip at the tender age of fourteen. Instantly I was hooked. I went on to study Chinese Studies at the University of Sheffield, which included an eye-opening year spent studying at Nanjing University. I was a participant on an InternChina programme in Summer 2015, and now I’m here as a Branch Manager – so I am lucky to be able to see the programmes from both sides!
I am a massive foodie, as anyone who knows me will verify. Being in Qingdao, I get to fill up on all my favourite seafood and shaokao (Chinese BBQ). Being in China and studying Chinese has given me so many fantastic opportunities and now I am working hard to provide the same range of opportunities to our participants. I’d love for everyone to get the chance to come and experience all of what Qingdao has to offer!

Bio: Hey, I’m Coral and I’m the Zhuhai Branch Manager. Although I was born in England; I have spent the majority of my life in Asia. At just 3 years old my family moved over to Pune, India and then at 6 years old we moved to Beijing, China where we lived for 10 years– during this time I attended numerous international schools. This evoked my passion of the international world and the importance of travelling. I went on to do my degree in “Business Management in China”, as part of the course I underwent a year abroad, one semester was spent in Beijing studying Chinese Language and the second semester was spent as the InternChina office intern in Zhuhai. I immediately fell in love with Zhuhai, and I thoroughly enjoyed every aspect of working for Internchina, it is a company and industry I feel very passionate about. So, when the opportunity to move back to Zhuhai as the branch manager arrived, I went for it. As well as travelling, my hobbies include going to the gym, football, and socializing.

Bio: I joined the Intern China team in September 2014. I was born and grew up on the small and beautiful island of Jersey which although British, is closer to France than the UK. After graduating with a degree in International Relations with Psychology at The University of Plymouth in England, I returned to Jersey where I spent three years in the offshore finance industry where I became a qualified Project Manager and managed various work streams spread across all areas of the Bank. During this time my dream to see the world got the better of me and I haggled a 12 month career break with the bank before setting off, visiting South East Asia, New Zealand, South America (including Easter Island and the Galapagos Islands) and North America. By the time I had finished, the Island of Jersey seemed even smaller than I remembered so I decided to embark on a new adventure, finally deciding on Zhuhai in China. Like so many others here, I completed the TEFL course and taught for a period of time before moving into the Export/Purchasing industry for a further two years before the opportunity to work for Intern China came about.
I have a lot of hobbies, but the ones that keep me busiest are my music (I play guitar and sing in two bands here in Zhuhai) and football (watching and playing).

Bio:
Having been fascinated with China from a young age I was thrilled when I had the opportunity to come to the Middle Kingdom in the summer of 2012 as an InternChina placed intern living and working in Zhuhai. My internship was the sandwich year for my degree in Business and Enterprise Management and provided me the opportunity to experience Chinese business culture, as well as the chance to explore China’s mega-cities and picturesque landscapes during my free time.
Upon leaving I knew that I would be returning at the first opportunity to begin a China based career, but I was determined to first learn how to communicate in Mandarin to better immerse myself within the Chinese culture. I spent a short time studying Mandarin in Shanghai before moving to the capital of China’s northern most province – Harbin. Whilst living in Harbin I found being able to exchange views with locals on topics such as history and current events incredibly interesting and rewarding.
During my free time I enjoy playing and watching football, practicing my Mandarin with Chinese friends, exploring parts of China that I have yet to see as well as sampling the large range of delicious foods that China has to offer.

Bio: After completing my Bachelors degree in 2010 from the University of Birmingham, I found myself in Yunnan, China taking part in a summer camp teaching English. My summer in China was an unforgettable experience and when I was offered the chance to return to China as a professional teacher - I jumped at the chance! I spent almost a year and a half in Yunnan and took full advantage of the wonderful travel destinations on my doorstep.
Following my teaching I returned to the UK to read a Masters in International Management for China at the University of Glasgow and as part of this course arrived in Chengdu as an intern with the British Chamber of Commerce, organised by InternChina. I thoroughly enjoying my internship and had a fantastic summer in the city. After completing my thesis I was delighted to return to Chengdu and take up my new role as Trainee Chengdu Office Manager with InternChina. I look forward to welcoming all interns to Chengdu and showing them everything this jewel in Southwest China has to offer!
During my free time I enjoy sampling the local Chengdu cuisine, travelling, playing and watching football, practicing my Chinese with local people and listening to music.
